Aner Gelem’s works include both portraits and the assembling of complex compositions. In her series ‘Exchange Rate’ (Sha’ar Halifin), the artist grafts cross-cultural images and spaces, imprinted on the back of Israeli and American bills, thus tying the relationship in every possible level: historical, cultural, political, social and economic. Aner is a photography graduate from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem. She lives and works in Tel Aviv.
